Norman  B. Weathers

Norman Belve “Stormy” Weathers, 88, passed away December 11, 2024 in his hometown of Pensacola, Florida. He was born on August 31, 1936, in Richmond, Virginia.


A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Stormy dedicated his life to service and hard work. He built a successful career as an insurance district manager and was also deeply involved in the world of motorsports. For 25 years, he also worked at Five Flags Speedway and contributed to the NASCAR All American Challenge Series, leaving a lasting impact on the racing community.


Stormy was a devoted member of West Pensacola Baptist Church, where he found fellowship and faith throughout his life. His warm presence and steadfast dedication will be remembered by all who knew him.


He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Kay Weathers; his children: Norman B. “Sonny” Weathers (Rhonda), Beverly Jolly, Norma Lynn, and Rodney Lee Weathers; his brother, John Thomas Weathers Jr.; his grandchildren: Raeden Blair Weathers, Samantha Jolly, AJ Monroe, and Alexandra Monroe; as well as great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.


Proceeded in death by his father John Thomas Weathers Sr., Mother Cleta Maye Clayton Weathers and Brother Franklin D. Weathers.


Stormy’s legacy of love, service, and passion for life will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him. May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.


Services will be held at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Wednesday December 18, 2024. Visitation 10:00 am and Service at 11:00 am.
