John M. Porter

John Michael Porter, age 70, passed away on Tuesday, August 4th, 2020 at 3:45 AM at Sacred Heart in Panama City, Florida.  He was born September 28th, 1949 In Freising, Germany; he was the son of
Grady and Irmagard Porter of Niceville, Florida - also deceased.  Johnny came to the United States by ship at the age of 4 years in 1953.  Johnny was drafted into the Army where he was active duty for 4 years; after an honorable discharge. He went on to work as Civil Service for years, then joined the Air Force reserves, active duty, retiring September 1st, 2009 as MSgt..

He will be remembered for his teasing jokes, his entertaining witt, his unfailing love for his military stance and love for his country, and that certain kind of grin he had.  His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his children, Michael Porter of Buford, GA,  and his daughter Dawn Babb of Panama City, FL.
And his siblings - Pete Porter of Coker, AL, Steve Porter of Azle, TX, Susan Porter of Watauga, TX, Glenn Porter of Gulf Breeze, FL, and David Porter of Niceville, FL..  Services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Niceville, FL August 11th, 2020 at 10:00 AM. Location is 622 Bayshore Drive, Niceville, FL. 32578.  Because of the Covid epidemic the church ask that you please wear a mask an beware
