Obituary
Master Sgt. Willis Donald Henderson, United States Air Force, entered the gates of Heaven on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010, at the young age of 47.
Willis was born on July 15, 1963, in Bessemer, Ala., the second son to Paul and Bernice Henderson. He graduated from Hueytown High School in 1981 and immediately entered the Air Force. During his Air Force career, he proudly served his country as an aircraft mechanic, both at home and abroad, with numerous deployments during Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom.
He was an active member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Mary Esther, Fla.
Willis was preceded in death by both parents. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Betina L. Henderson; his two sons, Jason L. (Su) Tye and Donald L. Henderson; daughters, Andrea L. Henderson and Deidre L. Henderson; two granddaughters, Olivia L. Tye and Imani L. Henderson; sisters, Willie Mae (James) Wells and Pauline (Cecil) Gandy; and three brothers, Alfonso Long, Paul (Angela) Long, and Emmanuel Henderson.
