Roy Harrison Cornman

Roy Harrison Cornman, age 88, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida passed away July 4, 2019 at his residence. He was born September 13, 1930 in Kittanning, Pennsylvania, the son of Harry P. and Hazel Anthony Cornman. Roy retired with rank of Senior Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force after thirty-two years of faithful service and later retired from Civil Service as well. He was a member of First Baptist Church of DeFuniak Springs where he served as a deacon for several years and was a member of Gideon’s International. In his free time, he enjoyed watching Pittsburgh Pirates baseball, traveling, camping, fishing, bird hunting, and visiting with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bonnie Cornman; one sister, Fonda Toy; and one brother, Elmer Cornman.
Roy is survived by daughters, Jackie Crutchfield of Milton, Florida and Linda Williams and her husband Scott of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; sons, Tony Cornman and wife Joni of Panama City Beach, Florida, and Michael Cornman and wife Debbie of Orange Park, Florida; grandchildren Todd Crutchfield of Milton, Florida, Amy Frizzell and husband Curt of Milton, Florida, Jacob Williams and his wife Katie of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, Jonathon Cornman of Panama City Beach, Florida, Kiley Cornman of Orange Park, Florida, and Kelby Cornman of Orange Park, Florida; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Seaman of Milton, Florida, and Mary Kate Crutchfield of Milton, Florida; brothers Floyd Cornman of Milton, Florida, Paul Cornman and wife Mary of Utica, New York, Harry Cornman and wife Juanita of Pulaski, Pennsylvania, and Russell Cornman and wife Darlene of Boardman, Ohio; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 8, 2019 at the First Baptist Church of DeFuniak Springs, 216 Live Oak Avenue East, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435 beginning at 11:00 a.m. with a time of visitation one hour prior. Committal services will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. Those asked to serve as pallbearers: Donnie Richardson, James Norton, Clifford Ingram, Lynton Malloy, Gene Robinson, and Hunter Page.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions be made in Roy’s memory to the Food Pantry or Pregnancy Support Center at First Baptist Church of DeFuniak Springs, Florida.
