Russell Chamberlain
22 November 1947- 14 May 2023
As most of you know we've recently lost one of the Duke Family's finest, Russell Chamberlain, who passed away on 05/14/2023 from a massive Hemorrhagic Stroke, which is a form of bleeding in the Brain. Russ was a very well respected member of the Duke Family who worked as an ECM Technician in Maintenance for most of his Gunship career, but more than that he was highly involved in Retiree organizations and other charitable groups in the area always donating his time and money to helping others. He truly cared about people and was always available for those in need. Russ served his community and country with great pride and will truly be missed by those of us who knew him, especially his beloved Duke Family.
Lover of everything military, antique planes, AC-130s, classic cars(Mustang), and Coca-Cola, Russell (Russ) G. Chamberlain suddenly and painlessly passed away May 14, 2023 at the age of 75. He humbly dedicated his life to his family and love of his life, Mary Alberts. Russ served this community and this great nation in both the Army, and Air Force/Civil Service for over 30 years. Russell was a simple man with a big heart that would help people with no strings attached. This unique– and amazing– human being will be greatly missed by all those who knew him. Anyone who knows Russell, knows we have already spoken too much.
He is survived by his sister, Anne Patterson, his twin brother, “Bob” (Kathy) Chamberlain. Always in Russell’s heart, his daughter, Marisa and granddaughter, Kiya. His first child, his beloved 1964 ½ Mustang Convertible– who was transferred into the care of his namesake. “The Boys” Mark and Matt Alberts, as well as a number of nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. Along with his Veteran-919th-Duke Family, Sweethearts and Friends.
Family requests, in his memory, help out a friend or neighbor. Donate or volunteer to any of the following: Friends of the First Lady, Freeze Cancer, Sharing and Caring, VFW Post 5450, American Legion Post 75, Air Force Armament Museum, AMVETS, DAV or any similar organizations.
